Pre-Sales Director - London / South West - £140,000 + OTE + Bonus
We’re looking for a high-impact Pre-Sales Director to join the strategic leadership team of a fast-scaling, award-winning technology business. With a strong foundation as a trusted Microsoft Partner, this organisation is entering a pivotal phase of growth, with bold ambitions set for 2025 and 2026. As Pre-Sales Director, you will help define the roadmap, elevate solution quality, and shape the future of technical engagement with clients.
Leading a talented team of Solutions Architects, you’ll be responsible for delivering commercially aligned, technically robust solution designs and pre-sales strategies that win business and strengthen client trust. Your influence will span customer engagement, technical enablement, solution innovation, and vendor alignment — all with an eye on futureproofing the organisation's capability and scaling it for growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive the strategic direction of the pre-sales function and help shape the company’s technical solution offering.
* Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing pre-sales team with a strong focus on development, certification, and innovation.
* Oversee solution design for client opportunities, ensuring technical and commercial alignment across bids, demos, proposals, and SoWs.
* Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership and the CTO to refine service propositions and drive customer expansion.
* Represent the business at senior stakeholder level, articulating complex solutions clearly and credibly to C-suite audiences.
* Build processes, playbooks, and frameworks to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across all pre-sales engagements.
* Support cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, and external partners.
* Act as a thought leader within the business, helping to monetise emerging technologies and influence go-to-market direction.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven experience leading pre-sales teams in a solutions or managed services environment.
* Strong technical understanding across Microsoft and Cisco ecosystems (vendor-agnostic mindset welcomed).
* A background in enterprise IT services and digital transformation.
* Experience in supporting high-value bids, RFP responses, and solution architecture at scale.
* Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, especially with C-suite and enterprise clients.
* A passion for mentoring, developing teams, and creating a high-performance culture.
