Class 2 Multi-drop Driver
Location: Birmingham
Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour (PAYE)
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 (HGV C) Multi-drop Driver for a busy distribution operation based in South Birmingham.
This role involves curbside deliveries and collections of palletised goods, completing around 10 - 15 drops per day using curtain-side vehicles fitted with tail lifts. The role is physically active and requires drivers to use electric pump trucks to move pallets at delivery points.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out multidrop curbside deliveries and collections (approximately 15 drops per day)
* Deliver palletised goods using curtainside vehicles with tail lifts
* Use electric pump trucks to load and unload pallets
* Complete daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
* Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time
* Maintain high standards of customer service at delivery locations
* Comply with driver hours and road transport regulations
Working Hours
* 05:00 – 07:00 starts
* 10–12-hour shifts
* Monday to Friday with potential overtime depending on workload
Requirements
* Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
* Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 2 vehicles
* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Previous multidrop delivery experience preferred
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
* Good understanding of driver hours and road safety regulations
Pay & Benefits
* £16.11 per hour
* Full PAYE employment
* Holiday pay accrued in addition to hourly rate
* Temporary to Permanent opportunities with a well-established operation
