Location: Home (Llandaff, Cardiff)
Hours: 6 hours per week (45min morning + 45min Sunday evening)
Rate of pay: £14.80 per hour
Job Overview
Providing personal care supervision and support to a gentleman in his mid‑80s living with Alzheimer’s disease.
Responsibilities
* Support personal care, showering, teeth cleaning and clothing preparation.
* Assist with meal preparation (breakfast and evening meal) and prompting eating and drinking.
* Light housekeeping: washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, emptying refuse bins.
* Prompt taking medication.
* Ensure personal safety and monitor health conditions.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Mindful, patient, reliable, dependable, punctual.
* Ability to adhere to confidentiality.
* Welsh speaking an advantage, not essential.
* Car ownership and driver licence desirable.
* Subject to satisfactory references and DBS (Police) check, to be carried out before employment.
* Right to work in UK verified.
Benefits & Conditions
* Probation period required.
* Wages paid 4 weekly.
* 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata).
* National Insurance number required.
* Support not carried out in PA's own home.
* Employer pays DBS check.
