Family Solicitor / Legal Executive - Taunton
Location: Taunton
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience)
A well established and respected regional law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Taunton office. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload within a supportive, friendly and collaborative team, with strong long term career prospects.
The Role
You will handle a broad range of family law matters, providing high quality legal advice and exceptional client care. Responsibilities include:
* Managing a varied caseload of family matters from instruction to conclusion
* Advising on divorce and separation
* Handling financial remedy proceedings
* Managing private children matters
* Advising on cohabitation disputes
* Preparing and advising on pre and post nuptial agreements
* Assisting clients with domestic abuse applications
* Conducting face to face client meetings
* Drafting and reviewing legal documents, agreements and court applications
* Representing clients in negotiations and, where appropriate, court proceedings
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and SRA regulations
* Building strong, long lasting client relationships
* Supporting business development and networking initiatives
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience managing a family law caseload
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
* Confidence managing deadlines and working independently
* Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office

* Strong communication and client care skills
* Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
* A positive, team focused attitude
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
