Emergency Medicine in East Kent Hospitals is undergoing redevelopment, with national investment to rebuild the Emergency Department at William Harvey Hospital. Our Emergency Departments provide innovative and fast-paced integrated emergency care to a wide range of patients from East Kent. Each of our Emergency Departments offers a full 24-hour emergency service, supported by co-located Urgent Treatment Centres, including a 24-hour UTC at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital and seven additional community UTCs in the region. In total approximately 220,000 patients are seen annually across the Emergency Departments.
