We are currently looking for a Ventilation Maintenance Assistant where you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventive maintenance/servicing, glass trap cleaning with mechanical repairs with the lead Vent on the ventilation plant at the Royal Derby Hospitals site to a high standard. Working as part of a ventilation maintenance team.
As the Ventilation Maintenance Assistant you will:
1. Assist the ventilation work coordinator delivering the ventilation PPM work as part to the M&E team within the user department priority.
2. Ensure good communications exist between the ventilation maintenance team and other members of the M&E discipline.
3. Help and assist the ventilation work coordinator, M&E Supervisor and Team Leader with any enquiries or problems that may occur in relation to the ventilation PPM programme.
4. Advise the ventilation work coordinator on the effectiveness of the ventilation PPM program - additions, deletions or alterations and assist in the completion of relevant documentation.
5. To be aware of Health and Safety policies and statutory requirements and to provide advice as appropriate
We are looking for:
6. Knowledge of ventilation plant acquired through experience and training courses in the specialised areas – ventilation & L8 etc.
7. Knowledge of building services with at least 5 years experience in building services maintenance.
8. Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
9. Basic computer skills are required.
10. A Human Focus card is required.
