What you'll do
Working closely with product development and global sourcing teams, you will support the Senior Buyer and Buying Manager in translating and executing the category strategy for a product range to drive growth. You will take ownership of buying own-brand and branded ranges, ensuring a customer-focused proposition and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategy. Managing pricing, developing trading plans, and conducting store visits, you will contribute to achieving KPIs such as sales, margin, stock, availability, digital metrics, and customer satisfaction. Your commercial awareness, passion for products, and analytical skills will help drive product performance and decision-making based on customer feedback. By collaborating, communicating effectively, and demonstrating problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the success of our buying team and help maintain a healthy work-life balance through flexible arrangements.
Who you are
You are a motivated and commercially aware professional passionate about delivering profitable growth and customer-focused strategies. With previous buying experience, preferably in non-food retail, you understand market trends and suppliers to inform budgeting and trading. Your analytical and numerical skills, combined with your communication and collaboration abilities, enable data-driven decisions and product performance improvement. You possess problem-solving skills, strategic vision, and the ability to balance product passion with commercial acumen, contributing to category success and KPI achievement. Customer-focused and results-driven, you thrive in fast-paced environments and can lead others effectively.
