Job Title: Senior Support Worker
As a Senior Support Worker, you will empower individuals with learning disabilities and autism to live vibrant, independent lives. You will be a key member of the team, taking on additional responsibilities beyond those of a Support Worker. Your role includes providing person-centred support, helping individuals maintain and develop their skills and interests, and taking on leadership tasks. You will support the Team Leader in managing the service and developing the team, helping individuals lead independent lives.

Day-to-day support responsibilities:
As per the Support Worker Job Description.
Additional responsibilities for the Senior Support Worker:
* Lead and act as the first point of contact in the absence of the Team Leader.
* Assist the Team Leader with supervision of Support Workers, including formal supervision where required.
* Compile team rotas and activity plans as required.
* Maintain and check the accuracy of financial records of the people we support.
* Be a positive role model for empathic leadership, supporting the implementation of the One Fylde Operational Way.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.
* Liaise with L&D and HR regarding team changes weekly.
* Contribute to the induction, support, and training of new starters.
* Focus on the 8-key quality of life indicators.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, family members, and professionals.
* Raise concerns about practice or support in a timely manner.
* Develop respectful relationships with the people supported, their families, friends, and relevant agencies.
* Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and other providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Complete all handovers to the required standards to ensure consistency.
