Join Our Team as a Packer at BOAL Extrusion
BOAL Extrusion is a well-established aluminium extrusion mill in Shepshed with over 35 years of experience and around 150 employees on site. Part of the wider BOAL Group, we supply high-quality aluminium profiles to industries including construction, transport, and solar.
We are now looking for reliable and motivated Packers to join our production team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our products are packed accurately and to customer specifications, helping us maintain the high standards of safety, teamwork, and quality that define BOAL. Prior manufacturing experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided, along with opportunities to progress into other areas of the business as your skills grow.
Please note: For this role, you will be working on rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor the quality of aluminium profiles and flag any defects to the Team Leader or Quality Controller.
* Pack production orders to the required specification.
* Work as part of a team on packing stations to meet daily targets.
* Support smooth shift handovers and liaise with Maintenance to minimise downtime.
* Suggest and support improvements to packing processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, and reducing waste.
* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping at all times.
What You'll Bring
* Experience of working within standard operating procedures and Health & Safety guidelines.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures.
* Strong numeracy and literacy.
* A proactive approach, with the confidence to raise issues and suggest improvements.
* Experience supporting or training team members (desirable, not essential).

* Basic salary of £25,390.36, plus shift allowance at 15% £3,808.55
