Research & Development Delivery Co-ordinator

This post is open to employees of the five LAASP organisations. As part of your application, you will be asked to confirm that you are a current employee of The Clatterbridge Centre, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals, Liverpool Women's Hospital or The Walton Centre.

An opportunity has arisen within the Research & Innovation Team based at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for a Research & Innovation Delivery co-ordinator. The primary location for the post is on the Aintree Site but there may be a requirement for the post holder to also work from the Royal Liverpool site on occasions. The post demands an enthusiastic and flexible person for 37.5 hours per week to provide comprehensive administrative support.


Main duties of the job

You will work alongside the research teams and will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Approvals team. This involves ensuring effective systems are put in place to maintain records and store data confidentially research data. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate some knowledge and experience regarding the approvals process to include ethical and governance review.

Job responsibilities

We are seeking a team player, with research experience, and an individual who possesses sound computer skills and administrative experience. The successful applicant will have excellent communication ability, both written and verbal, be well organised and committed to providing an efficient service.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* Is an employee of a LAASP organisation
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Knowledge of NHS Research Governance Framework, the Clinical Trials Regulations and other relevant regulatory / statutory requirements
* Trained in ICH-GCP
* ISEB Data Protection trained
* Knowledge of Trust policies and procedures relevant to research practice


Experience

* Experience of working with NIHR Infrastructure and systems
* Experience of Archiving Essential Documents
* Experience of Research Passports
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Good computer literacy, including familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, use of the Internet and e-mail
* Experience of developing and maintaining comprehensive and systematic systems for collecting and processing information
* Experience in undertaking Clinical Research and/or Clinical Trials


Communication and People Skills

* Ability to implement RD&I Policies and Procedures
* Experience of liaising with professions and organisations
* Experience of communicating with Finance departments


Organisation Skills

* Experience of working to tight deadlines and ability to manage a range or priorities
* Enthusiastic, resolute and flexible approach to work
