As the AMHP Team Manager, you will:
7. Lead and manage the daytime AMHP Service
8. Provide professional leadership, supervision, and support to AMHPs
9. Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act
10. Oversee social supervision for conditionally discharged patients under Section 42
11. Carry out Mental Health Act assessments
12. Collaborate with partner agencies including the Mental Health Trust, Police, and Ambulance Services
13. Maintain performance against national and local targets
14. Support AMHPs with supervision, training, and access to legal advice
Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:
15. Registration as a Social Worker and current AMHP qualification
16. Approved as an AMHP by a local authority within the last 5 years
17. Compliance with annual AMHP training requirements
18. Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, case law, and MOJ requirements
19. Understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
