Teacher – ASC & Social Communication Needs | North Bristol (Full-Time, Must Be a Driver)
Vision for Education is looking for a dedicated Teacher to join a primary SEN school in North Bristol, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and social & communication needs. This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference helping pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver lessons tailored to pupils with ASC and social communication needs
2. Support pupils with challenging behaviour using a trauma-informed approach
3. Lead 1:1 and small group interventions
4. Promote positive communication, social skills, and independence
5. Collaborate closely with SEN staff, teaching assistants, and parents
6. Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
7. Travel within school grounds or between sites as required (must be a driver)
We’re Looking For:
8. Qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEN, ASC, or complex needs
9. Skilled in behaviour management and trauma-informed practice
10. Calm, patient, and adaptable with pupils who may present challenging behaviour
11. Reliable driver with access to a vehicle
12. Strong communicator and team player
13. Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain)
