Role:
* Senior Contract Administrator
Location:
* Durham, Ontario (Site-Based)
Responsibilities:
* Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
* Maintain and organize project contract documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
* Communicate and resolve contract-related issues with internal teams and stakeholders.
* Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
* Prepare and submit contract invoices and manage contract close-out processes.
* Collaborate with project managers and other teams to ensure project success.
* Manage and respond to RFIs (Request for Information) in a timely manner.
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction.
* Assemble construction drawing revisions, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, details, schedules etc.
* Participate and act on behalf of the firm as the project CA lead during regularly scheduled site meetings.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in contract administration within the architecture or construction industry.
* Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture.
* Strong knowledge of contract law, building technology/assemblies, construction methodology, materials application, and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
* Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Fully versed in the Ontario, or B.C Building Code and have experience with large-scale institutional buildings.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Highly organized and able to manage time, deadlines, and deliverables.
* Self-motivated individual capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and interested in growing with the firm.
