Front of House Staff

Position Overview & Job Purpose: As a Front of House team member, you will work cohesively with staff and be responsible for day-to-day tasks under the guidance of the Café Manager, Assistant Manager, and Supervisors. Your role is crucial in maintaining the Company's key goals, including excellent customer service and café cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Work well within the front of house team, taking on tasks as given by Line Managers, as well as using your own initiative.
* Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers and ensuring they feel welcomed.
* Have good knowledge of both food and drink menus within the café and be able to communicate these to customers, ensuring any queries regarding ingredients or allergens are answered.
* Have a good working knowledge of our till system, taking orders and processing payments in a friendly manner.
* Work in all aspects of the café, including customer service, taking orders on the till, clearing and cleaning tables, running food and drink, pot washing, assisting with the opening and closing of the shop, and general cleaning tasks.
* Be able to talk to customers about our available coffees.
* Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules to a high standard as directed, maintaining an excellent level of cleanliness, organization, and hygiene.
* Follow Health and Safety policies, processes, safe working practices, and SFBB standards as shown in the training document.
* Understand and comply with company fire procedures.
* Know who the allocated first aiders are and what to do in an emergency.
* Carry out other duties on a regular or ad hoc basis as required or directed by the Management team.

* Good understanding of the principles of food hygiene and health and safety policies and procedures.

* Ability to work efficiently both on your own initiative and as part of a team.
