Mechanical Engineer

KO2's client, a fast-growing and innovative technology company in Stroud, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to play a key role in the development of advanced, next-generation, electronic products. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative engineering team working across the full product lifecycle in a dynamic, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be required to go through SC Clearance, if you hold it already that is a bonus.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design activities from initial concept through to production handover. You'll work closely with electronics, software, and manufacturing engineers to develop robust, high-performance devices suited to real-world applications, with a strong focus on efficiency, size, and weight constraints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead conceptual design activities, generating innovative mechanical solutions
2. Define device specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams
3. Deliver detailed design using CAD, including assemblies and technical drawings
4. Develop, build, and test prototype units, iterating designs based on performance and feedback
