Health and Safety Manager
We’re looking for a Health and Safety Manager to lead our health and safety function across Cheshire East Council. This is a high-profile role where you’ll work with senior leaders, manage and develop a skilled team, and ensure we meet our statutory and moral responsibilities for the wellbeing of employees, contractors, and the wider community.

What You’ll Do
2. Lead and inspire a dedicated Health and Safety team.
3. Shape culture by embedding proactive health and safety practices across the organisation.
4. Advise senior leaders and influence decision-making at the highest level.
5. Audit and improve compliance through robust governance frameworks.
6. Deliver training and champion best practice.
7. Act as the Council’s competent person for health and safety matters.
What We’re Looking For
8. NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered IOSH Membership (essential).
9. Significant senior management experience in health and safety within a large and diverse organisation.
10. Strong leadership, influencing, and communication skills.
11. Ability to interpret legislation and implement improvement plans.
12. A collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
