Job description
Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator (Agricultural, Livestock, Real Estate, AI Technology, and Renewable Energy)
Accountable for strategizing, executing, and supervising the organisation’s health and safety protocols, processes, and initiatives across farms, properties, and offices. Ensuring compliance with legal standards and industry benchmarks. The role supports as a business partner and subject matter expert, aiming to ensure the safety and welfare of all employees, visitors, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
Duties:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with regulations and best practices.
2. Conduct risk assessments and establish operational controls and procedures.
3. Facilitate regular health and safety discussions among staff.
4. Distribute safety policies, procedures, and documentation to personnel.
5. Manage safety training programs, including organizing and validating sessions (e.g., Forklift, First Aid, Fire Marshall).
6. Perform safety inspections and audits to identify hazards.
7. Follow up on corrective actions to ensure compliance.
8. Promote safety awareness and accountability among staff.
9. Ensure fire risk assessments are in place and risks managed.
10. Coordinate safety monitoring, checks, and statutory examinations like PAT testing and LOLER.
11. Maintain safety records and assist with health and safety inductions.
