Job Title: Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
Pay Range/Details: £40,(Apply online only)-£45,(Apply online only) per annum (depending on experience and skillset)
Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on plastic injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment such as chillers, robots, granulators, and air compressors
* Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including PLCs, control systems, and electronic subsystems, while overseeing critical electrical systems
* Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime, enhance machinery reliability, and implement upgrades for improved performance
* Submit detailed daily activity reports and weekly improvement progress reports to ensure transparency and drive continuous development
* Mentor and guide an apprentice engineer, fostering their professional growth, while adhering to health and safety regulations in all tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience maintaining plastic injection moulding machinery or similar industrial equipment, with strong expertise in electrical systems and PLC programming
* Engineering qualifications to a minimum of Level 3 in Mechatronics, Electrical, or equivalent qualifications to accommodate diverse educational backgrounds
* Comfortable using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar digital tools for accurate record‑keeping
* Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities to work effectively within a team
* Previous experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly desirable, ensuring inclusivity for candidates with varied leadership backgrounds
