Responsibilities
Support the planning, promotion and delivery of the Schools Programme, including activities such as Big Sing, Big Sing for Mini Singers, In Harmony concerts, school visits and partnership events.
Assist with programme administration: production of learning activities and events, liaison with schools, students, parents, partners and sector colleagues, creation and distribution of resources, support marketing and promotion, represent the programme at cross‑organisation meetings.
Coordinate programme operations: schedule events, manage room and resource allocation, maintain systems and processes, monitor budgets, manage finance administration including invoices, purchase orders and petty cash, greet visitors, and ensure events are adequately staffed.
Maintain health‑and‑safety standards: safeguarding, pastoral care, apply risk assessments, and support staff in implementing these policies.
Contribute to monitoring and evaluation, including reporting.
Attend programme or planning meetings as required, meet the Schools Manager and Coordinator, and fulfil any other duties in line with organisational needs.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant professional experience planning or supporting events and/or educational programmes.
* Previous experience working in an arts setting and with primary‑aged children.
* Knowledge of The Glasshouse building and an interest in music and education.
* Experience with software such as Artifax, Tessitura and Xledger (desirable).
Skills & Knowledge
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confidence communicating with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets.
* Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Personal Qualities
* Friendly and helpful, with a positive attitude.
* Excellent time‑keeping.
* Proactive, solution‑focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements
* Driving licence and own vehicle.
* Safeguarding registration in an education context.
* Good knowledge of The Glasshouse building and existing software platforms.
* Interest in music and education.
