Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust are delighted to be recruiting for a Lead Clinician position within our Early Intervention in Psychosis Services in Thanet. This position will be part of the senior clinical leadership team, providing evidence-based, high-quality care to the population we serve.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated clinician with suitable leadership experience. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day clinical oversight of the team to ensure delivery of a safe and effective service. The post-holder will work closely with the operational team manager and other clinical leads to drive performance and achieve consistently high standards of care.
The post-holder will hold clinical cases as required and support other members of the team with the most complex and risky patients.
Overall the role will entail working within the leadership team to ensure robust oversight of all aspects of care delivery. The post-holder will:
* Act as a role model to support/guide the team deliver high quality standards of care, be responsive to service demands and dynamic in supporting the team with complex and challenging situations.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, work well within the leadership team to prioritise daily clinical demands/needs of service, whilst supporting the clinical team.
* Provide clinical advice and supervision (both individual and group supervision) and contribute to individuals appraisals.
* Provide in house training to team and wider teams/services when needed.
* Support and embed clinical standards within the team.
* Lead/support and contributing to monitoring team's clinical performance via clinical audits and work in conjunction with Team Manger to support actions to improve the quality and performance of the service and outcomes for services users.
* Show excellent organisational, time management and delegation skills to work in an area of changing priorities.
* Be a cohesive member of the Leadership Team, work flexibly and support the Team Manager where needed, offer expertise and experience to develop new staff and support in retention and wellbeing of the team.
