NB: Roles require working regular unsociable hours, which attract premium rates of pay in addition to the advertised salary.
* Monday to Friday: 7pm to 8am, with a 30% premium payment
* Weekend: 8am Saturday – 8am Monday, with a 50% premium payment
* Public/Bank Holidays: 8am to 8am, with a 50% premium payment; time off in lieu is also applicable

Summary

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties
* Contribute to effective team practice and communicate effectively with colleagues.
* Report key risk issues during handovers and throughout shifts, including communication with external agencies.
* Conduct regular inspections of the premises, including grounds and CCTV monitoring.
* Maintain a visible presence and engage with residents to promote wellbeing and monitor behaviour.
* Manage high-risk residents, encouraging compliance and addressing abusive or aggressive behaviour.
* Contribute to risk management plans by observing and reporting significant changes.
* Support residents' sentence plan activities as agreed.
* Ensure premises are secure during curfew and confirm residents' wellbeing overnight.
* Act as a first point of contact out of hours.
* Provide accurate information and risk assessments, escalating as necessary.
* Maintain a safe environment, adhering to health and safety legislation and procedures.
* Perform safety checks, room searches, and manage residents' possessions as required.
* Set up and deliver purposeful activities aligned with sentence plans.
* Supervise residents' meals and undertake effective induction.
* Follow medication procedures and conduct audits.
