Nurse Analyst – Medical Law Services (MLS) – Hybrid Working | Supportive Culture | Excellent Benefits
Location: We work across England, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Southport. We offer flexible hybrid working (working from home with time in modern offices).
Hours: 35 hours per week (Hybrid - 2 days in the office a week, negotiable if needed).
Medical Law Service, part of the Fletcher’s Solicitors group, has a fantastic opportunity to join our growing MLS Nurse Team.

Main responsibilities
* Review medical records and other documentation relevant to the case
* Sort and categorize medical records
* Prepare Opinion of Merit (OOM) and chronology to assist the legal team with investigations and assessment of prospects, including breach of duty and causation
* Prepare paginations in paperless format, including light/selective focused, date ranged, full and updated paginations, and work with evolving IT tools, including AI tools
* Conduct necessary medico-legal research and understand any relevant professional guidelines
* Demonstrate good understanding of GDPR to identify issues within medical records
* Progress towards Risk Assessment 1s as appropriate
Essential Skills and Experience
* Minimum of 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in NHS practice / clinical setting as a registered nurse
* High level of accuracy in work output
* Ability to learn and adapt to new working environments
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work within a team both remotely and in person
* Highly motivated, organized, and proactive
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
* Working knowledge of audits and interpreting findings to improve/maintain practice
* Basic understanding of medical records
* Experience using Microsoft Office packages
