Join Max Recovery Team! Oversee servicers, ensure compliance, and drive exceptional customer outcomes. As a Third Party Oversight Max Recovery Senior Associate, you will oversee the third-party management of external servicers who handle our portfolios. Your responsibilities include monitoring servicer performance, identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, industry standards, and internal policies, and delivering positive customer outcomes.

The role is based in London within the Max Recovery desk, a key part of the EMEA SPG team. The desk primarily acts as the principal in purchasing portfolios of receivables, where underlying debtors are consumers involved in insolvency or bankruptcy arrangements.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage servicer performance against service levels and contractual obligations.
2. Implement and maintain third-party risk management frameworks.
3. Manage servicing agreements to ensure compliance with contract terms.
4. Build and maintain trust-based relationships with servicers and stakeholders.
5. Promote operational excellence by reviewing and improving processes, policies, and procedures.
6. Analyze data to identify trends and resolve issues to improve performance.
7. Deliver cost efficiencies and value from contracts, understanding financial principles.
8. Contribute to business growth through portfolio acquisitions and onboarding projects.
9. Support business development initiatives with new counterparty relationships.
10. Participate in due diligence on servicers and third parties to assess risks.
11. Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements such as Consumer Duty, vulnerable customers, data privacy, and data protection.
12. Assess regulatory changes and work with servicers to ensure compliance.
13. Understand UK consumer lending products and the Consumer Credit Act.
14. Know how UK insolvency and bankruptcy processes operate legally and practically.
15. Understand portfolio performance drivers and key risks.
16. Build and maintain relationships with servicers and stakeholders.
17. Project manage onboarding of portfolios, including negotiations.
18. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and legal teams.
19. Work under pressure with attention to detail.
20. Apply third-party risk management principles and tools to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
