We have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to come and lead the Planned Care Occupational Therapy Team at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. As the Team Lead, you will manage this dynamic team which will include day to day staff and caseload management; lead in delivering the team objectives through implementation of the quality improvement plan; promote, encourage and support service development; and supervise and support staff with implementation of personal development plans. You will also become part of and work closely with the wider senior OT team to ensure a safe and effective OT service delivery to the acute hospital. You will be expected to manage your own caseload and assist others in ensuring consistent Occupational Therapy cover across several specialist areas within the Planned Care Directorate, including surgical and orthopaedics, and you will oversee the delivery of Occupational Therapy to the new Elective Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre. Experience working in these areas would be advantageous and there will be a requirement to participate in the weekend orthopaedic OT rota. The Occupational Therapy department supports continuing professional development through supervision, TURAS appraisal, in-service programme, and training. As this is a Band 7 post, we will support further leadership training and professional development opportunities at Master’s (MSc) level. You should have the ability to travel throughout Fife effectively in a timely manner as required. For informal enquiries or to arrange a visit, please contact Lorna Brocklesby, OT Manager on 01592 643355 ext 21646. A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
