A thriving and dynamic primary school located in the heart of Cambridge, recently rated as 'GOOD' by Ofsted, is excited to announce the creation of a brand-new Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to lead this pioneering initiative, aiming to provide tailored and inclusive education that supports the needs and potentials of all pupils.
The Role:
As the SEN Teacher, you will be instrumental in shaping the structure and strategy of the new SEN provision. Your role will involve:
*Developing and implementing an inclusive curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students with SEN.
*Leading a team of teaching assistants and coordinating with other staff members to provide integrated support.
*Assessing individual learning needs and setting personalized goals.
*Engaging with parents, guardians, and external agencies to create a collaborative approach to education.
*Organizing and overseeing the resources and learning environment of the SEN provision.
*Providing training and guidance to school staff regarding SEN best practices.
Requirements:
*To be successful in this role, you will need:
*A recognized teaching qualification in the UK (QTS or equivalent).
*Specialized qualifications or significant experience in SEN education.
*A thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and current educational legislation.
*Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
*Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
*A strong commitment to inclusive educational practices.
*The ability to design and implement effective assessment and intervention strategies.
*Resilience and creativity in problem-solving and curriculum design.
