Trading since 2022,aAnd formerly the M J Patch group, our client are a leading structural construction, housebuilder, large residential buildings, retail, commercial buildings, nuclear, government structural design, fabrication and installation organisation, who operate a wide range of private and public sector projects across the South West & Midlands.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Overseeing the structural QS projects in the business
2. Sound contractual knowledge (particularly JCT and NEC)
3. Experience in preparing and analysing monthly valuations and applications
4. Ability to liaise with project teams to monitor costs and identify issues early
5. Managing variations, including submission and negotiation with clients
6. Preparation of progress reports and updates
7. Ensuring all applications are aligned with client/project payment schedules
8. Conducting feasibility studies and cost planning
9. Streamis software - training will be provided
10. Preparing tender packages, contracts, and bills of quantities
11. Managing risk, value engineering, and cost control
12. Evaluation of repair/maintenance strategies and associated costs
13. Contract negotiation and schedule alignment
14. Overseeing and valuing subcontractor payments
