We are growing our Installations Team to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business.
To help us achieve this, we are looking for an Installation Operative in the Great Yarmouth area, someone who is prepared to travel across the UK if required, including overnight stays. It’s an exciting time to join us in our Installations Team. Based out of our branch in Great Yarmouth, this role will predominantly be based on our customer sites with occasional visits to the branch.
As an Installation Operative, you will work directly with the Installation Supervisors. Teamwork is very important; you will need to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with your team to get the job done. A positive attitude and integrity are essential. While on site, you will be installing pipework, assisting drivers with loading and unloading vehicles. This role is physically demanding, so a good level of fitness is required to carry out your daily tasks.
Health & Safety is paramount. You will need to adhere to safety guidelines at all times, working on construction sites with potential risks. You must manage your own safety and be aware of others around you.
Flexibility is essential, as you will be involved in a call-out rota and may need to work overtime outside of your usual 40-hour week, providing opportunities for increased overtime pay.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
You will promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to ensure a consistent approach to installations across the UK. You must adhere to SHEQ policies and procedures, focusing on best practices. Managing your own site safety and contributing to overall site safety is crucial, including completing installation work in accordance with on-site RAMS, identifying risks, and implementing control measures.
You will work safely according to the communicated installation methodology, keep the site and surrounding areas tidy, and assist with vehicle loading/unloading, checking paperwork for damages, missing items, and fuel charges.
This role is subject to a safety-critical medical.
Qualifications & Experience:
Ability to work on construction sites with a good understanding of safety. Flexibility with working hours and availability for on-call duties are required. Willingness to travel and work away from home is necessary, along with holding a current Full UK driving license.
Preferred:
* Construction Skills CSCS card
* National Water Hygiene Card
* Forklift truck operator certification
* Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions
