In this role, you’ll lead skilled technicians and contractors on-site, ensuring generators are disassembled, inspected, and reassembled with precision. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, site management, and internal teams to deliver safe, efficient, and timely projects—managing priorities and solving challenges as they arise. Each day will take you from hands-on engineering to strategic discussions, all with the goal of driving quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. 1. Lead and oversee craft technicians and subcontractors during planned preventative maintenance on hydrogen and air-cooled generators at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
2. Partner with site management to plan and execute work packages, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, and project deadlines.
3. Provide expert technical advice to customers on generator disassembly and reassembly, resolving technical issues swiftly and effectively.
4. Represent Siemens Energy in meetings with clients and stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships.
5. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and execution processes.
What You Bring
6. HNC/HND in Engineering or a recognised apprenticeship.
7. Around 5 years of technical field experience, including team supervision.
8. In-depth familiarity with hydrogen and air-cooled generators.
9. Strong communication, organisational, and multitasking skills with a collaborative and flexible approach.
10. Ability to work confidently both independently and in a team, with good computer literacy.
