Trainee Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | West Yorkshire | £25k - £35k
I’m working with a well-established regional contractor to recruit a Trainee Quantity Surveyor as part of their ongoing growth and commitment to developing future commercial talent.

The Role;
You’ll be working closely with experienced commercial professionals, supporting the delivery of construction projects while developing a strong foundation in Quantity Surveying.
This is primarily an office-based role with regular site visits, giving you exposure to both commercial and operational aspects of projects.
Key responsibilities include;
* Assisting with cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
* Supporting the preparation of valuations and applications for payment
* Helping to manage subcontractor packages and procurement processes
* Assisting with cost tracking and variation management
* Supporting the commercial team with contract administration tasks
* Attending site visits to gain practical project experience
* Working closely with project teams to understand delivery and cost control
* Learning industry systems, processes, and best practices
* Developing a strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing
What You’ll Need;
* A basic understanding of Quantity Surveying principles (through education or experience)
* Strong interest in building a long-term career in construction/commercial roles
* Good numerical and analytical skills
* Strong communication and willingness to learn
* Organised and detail-oriented approach
* Full UK driving licence (or working towards) preferred
* Must have the right to work in the UK
