Test Inspection Operative - Level 2 Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire Hourly Rate: £12.45 - £14.48 Shift Allowance Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - Rotating shift pattern: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (plus shift premium) Are you an experienced inspection professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance? Our client, a leader in the electrical manufacturing industry, is seeking two Test Inspection Operatives (Level 2) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your inspection expertise in a structured and supportive environment, with full training provided. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed inspections and functional testing of electrical and mechanical components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. Conduct in-process and final test inspections, documenting results and identifying non-conformities. Support incoming inspection and metrology activities, maintaining a safe and organised work environment. Assist in the development and refinement of inspection and testing protocols in line with quality management systems. Participate in Gauge R&R studies and support calibration of test and measurement equipment. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve test-related issues and improve product reliability. Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a test or inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment (Level 2 or equivalent). Familiarity with inspection tools, test equipment, and quality documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent software. Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Flexible, dependable, and eager to learn and grow within the role. A good record of attendance and reliability.
