EC&I Engineer - COMAH Site Greater Manchester | Mon-Fri | Days We're looking for an experienced EC&I Engineer to join a top-tier COMAH-regulated manufacturing site in Greater Manchester. This role will focus on providing electrical, control, and instrumentation expertise to ensure plant reliability, safety, and compliance, while supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The Role: Acting as the site's EC&I specialist, providing technical leadership and guidance. Supporting planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance across electrical and instrumentation systems. Leading and supporting EC&I projects from design through to commissioning. Ensuring compliance with COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR, and functional safety regulations. Supporting fault finding and troubleshooting across PLCs, DCS, SIS, and field instrumentation. Participating in HAZOP, LOPA, audits, and regulatory inspections. Managing contractors, vendors, and budgets for EC&I projects. About You: Degree-qualified in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent). EC&I experience within a chemical, petrochemical, or COMAH-regulated environment. Strong knowledge of PLC/DCS systems, instrumentation calibration, and electrical distribution. Familiarity with COMAH safety management, ATEX/DSEAR, and functional safety standards. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and project management skills.
