Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw is a charity based in Worksop that supports young people aged 8 to 25 years old in the Bassetlaw area. The charity raises funds through several events held throughout the year and provides grants to individuals and groups to help young people gain confidence, develop new transferrable skills, and achieve their full potential. Through its Funding Programme, the charity assists young people with projects, ideas, and experiences designed to develop them personally and prepare them for life and future employment.
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Development Manager, located in Worksop with some work from home flexibility. The Development Manager will be responsible for planning and executing fundraising events, managing grant applications, and working closely with young people’s organisations and schools. Day-to-day tasks include developing funding strategies, coordinating with stakeholders, overseeing project implementations, and ensuring proper use of funds to maximise the impact on young people\'s personal and skill development.

* Fundraising and Grant writing skills
* Project Management and Strategic Planning skills
* Experience in working with young people\'s organisations and schools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
* Experience with hybrid work environments
* Prior experience in a charity or non-profit organization is a plus
