Due to a healthy forward workload, my client is looking to appoint a Civil Technician to join their Wigan office team. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and educational.
Responsibilities
1. Assisting a team of engineers and technicians with the production of engineering drawings in AutoCAD & Civils 3D.
2. Production of AutoCAD models of our schemes.
3. Preparation and checking of simple engineering calculations.
4. Initial checking of own work and junior staff members.
5. Contributing to and providing solutions to design problems.
6. Meeting agreed deadlines.
7. Liaison with statutory bodies such as Water Companies, Environmental Agency, and County Roads Departments.
8. Ensure that quality and consistency of technical output by the team (drawings, reports, etc.) is maintained.
9. Liaise professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers to offer advice and guidance on matters relating to their work.
