Electrical Project Engineer – Environment
Location: Dorchester / Poole
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen in Dorchester / Poole for an Electrical Project Engineer to join the growing team at Galliford Try.
You will work on our Wessex West Frameworks within our Environment Business, delivering schemes mainly in the Water Industry, including Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Ideally, you will be based in or around Dorchester / Poole and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
Reporting to the Delivery/Project Manager, you will manage the daily running of projects, coordinate with the Project Team to ensure safety, provide programme updates, review designs, conduct site checks, and procure materials.
As part of the Project Delivery Team, you’ll liaise with the Commercial Team, attend client meetings, and collaborate with site teams to maintain high standards.
Your responsibilities include overseeing engineering from inception to completion of schemes, utilizing in-house resources, site installation, and construction teams to deliver electrical water industry projects such as Pumping Stations, Dosing Systems, and Chlorination plants.

About You:
You should have a relevant engineering qualification, a passion for your discipline, and strong logical and critical thinking skills. Experience in a multi-site or Water Industry context is desirable but not essential.
On-site, you should hold ECS, SSSTS, SMSTS, City & Guilds Confined Space, EUSR (Clean Water Hygiene), and Appointed Persons certifications. We support training needs.
