Responsibilities
* Carrying out detailed drainage and surface water design for residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments using industry‑standard software.
* Producing design calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings to support planning submissions and technical approvals.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, planners, and flood risk specialists, to ensure integrated design outcomes.
* Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to resolve technical queries and support approvals.
* Reviewing site constraints and applying best practice sustainable drainage (SuDS) principles to mitigate flood risk.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience as a Drainage Design Engineer or in a relevant drainage/civil engineering design role.
* Strong knowledge of drainage design principles, SuDS, and relevant UK design standards.
* Proficiency with design tools such as MicroDrainage, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar software.
* Good communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload effectively.
