About Oddbox

We're on a mission to fight food waste with big plans to change how people cook and eat, starting with produce fresh from the farm. We work with growers to rescue fresh fruit and veg that are too odd or too many and at risk of going to waste, delivering to customers' doorsteps.

Since 2016, we've rescued over 50,000 tonnes of fruit and veg at risk of going to waste, delivering more than 7 million boxes. Food waste is a significant contributor to climate change, and at Oddbox, we're building a community of food-waste fighters making a difference to people and the planet.


About The Role

As our Brand Designer, you'll bring the Oddbox brand to life through creative, engaging, and impactful design. From digital campaigns to packaging, you'll shape how Oddbox looks and feels across every touchpoint. You'll work closely with the marketing and creative teams to craft visual stories that delight, provoke, and empower while strengthening our mission to tackle food waste.


What You'll Do

1. Creative production: Work on creative projects end to end, from concept to final production across digital, print, and graphics.
2. Design for impact: Develop assets for our weekly box letters, social media, email, web, packaging, and campaign touchpoints.
3. Elevate the brand: Bring our odd, purposeful identity to life while maintaining consistency across all visual outputs.
4. Solve creative challenges: Respond to briefs with innovative ideas and designs that engage and excite our community.
5. Collaborate and grow: Work closely with marketing, product, and other teams to shape Oddbox's design direction and storytelling.
6. Expand our toolkit: Contribute to brainstorming sessions, helping to build and maintain our brand asset library, ensuring all materials are accessible and on-brand.


Who You Are

1. Creative problem solver: You thrive on turning briefs into beautiful, impactful designs.
2. Proficient designer: You have expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.
3. Experienced and adaptable: You've worked in in-house teams or for consumer brands and managed projects from ideation to execution.
4. Detail-oriented: You have a sharp eye for typography, layout, and design quality.
5. Skilled illustrator: You're comfortable creating bespoke illustrations that align with Oddbox's style.
6. Collaborative mindset: You have strong communication and teamwork skills, and are comfortable with regular feedback and iterative design processes.


Our Interview Process

Talent call (30 minutes)
Portfolio review and task: complete a short design task (60 minutes prep) and present your work (60 minutes)
In-depth interview with the Marketing team (60 minutes)
Culture interview with cross-functional team members (60 minutes)
