Role Overview:
The AI Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying advanced AI systems that deliver real-world impact. The ideal candidate will have expertise in machine learning, model deployment, and system integration, combined with a passion for leveraging AI to solve meaningful problems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems for production environments.
* Build and fine-tune models for natural language processing, computer vision, or predictive analytics.
* Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to optimise models for performance and reliability.
* Develop automated pipelines for data ingestion, model training, and inference.
* Implement robust monitoring and optimisation processes to ensure AI systems meet key business objectives.
* Stay informed on advancements in AI and integrate the latest technologies into solutions.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Strong programming skills in Python (experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks).
* Expertise in deploying models on cloud platforms (Azure) or containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Proficiency in machine learning algorithms and advanced AI techniques, including transformer-based architectures.
* Hands-on experience with large language models (e.g., GPT, Langchain) or custom-built AI systems.
* Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices for deploying and managing AI systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable, reliable AI solutions.
* A degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Desirable Experience:
* Experience with edge AI or optimising models for low-latency environments.
* Applied AI in industries such as finance or healthcare.
* Building systems for automated decision-making or recommendation engines.
* Knowledge of MLOps practices and frameworks for lifecycle management.
