Calling all Antimicrobial Experts! – Locum Band 8a Senior Pharmacist
An NHS hospital in North West England is looking for a dynamic Senior Antimicrobial Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team on a locum basis. If you’re passionate about optimising antimicrobial use, improving patient outcomes, and driving best-practice stewardship, this could be the role for you!
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading Trust-wide antimicrobial stewardship and ensuring evidence-based prescribing
* Providing specialist input on microbiology ward rounds and infection cases
* Supporting and monitoring OPAT patients
* Developing, updating, and auditing antimicrobial guidelines (CQUINs)
* Delivering AMS training and contributing to infection control & quality improvement
What we’re looking for:
* GPhC-registered Pharmacist with a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma
* Strong hospital pharmacy experience
* Significant antimicrobial/AMS expertise
* Bonus: Independent Prescriber, audit/guideline development experience
* Start asap - 3months plus
* Pay rate £34-£36 ph umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent)
