Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester Needed in Chorley
1. Working Hours: 40-hour week + regular Saturday morning overtime
2. (alternative evening shift available: 30 hours, 5pm–11pm)
3. Salary: £28,000 – £44,000 OTE per year + excellent benefits
Our client, a well-established and expanding franchised dealership, is seeking experienced Vehicle Technicians and MOT Testers to join their motivated Aftersales team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company that invests in training, technology, and tools while offering strong long-term career progression and development.
They are looking for both all-rounder Technicians and those with a valid MOT licence, with flexible shifts available to suit.
Key Responsibilities for Technician & MOT Tester:
4. Road test vehicles and diagnose problems as required
5. Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
6. Complete MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations (if qualified)
7. Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up to date
8. Maintain high productivity and complete jobs within agreed timescales
9. Work collaboratively with the service reception and parts teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
10. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment
What We’re Looking For:
11. Qualified to a Level 3 standard in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
12. Valid MOT licence (desirable, but not essential)
13. Full UK driving licence
14. A strong team player with excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
