We are recruiting a Business Manager to lead and develop Events at one of Exmouths premier venues, renowned for hosting an exciting variety of occasions and experiences.
This vibrant coastal venue offers a diverse mix of events from weddings and corporate parties to exclusive celebrations alongside ticketed entertainment such as live music, comedy, sports screenings, and themed nights
Salary & Benefits
£35,000 - £45,000. depending on experience
40 hour contracted week
5 days from 7 including evenings & weekends

The Role
As Business Manager Events, youll take the lead on all aspects of event planning, sales, and delivery, working closely with the F&B and operations teams to deliver unforgettable experiences while driving commercial performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the full events calendar from enquiry to execution.
Developing and managing a proactive sales strategy to grow event revenue.
Building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, and the wider community.
Identifying opportunities to host and promote events that appeal to the local demographic.
Collaborating with marketing to maximise event exposure and ticket sales.
Leading a passionate events team to deliver operational excellence and memorable guest experiences, implementing and monitoring SOPs
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, food, and hygiene regulations by maintaining robust protocols, conducting regular risk assessments, training staff, and safeguarding all premises, people, and assets across event operations.
Acting as site Duty Manager on a rota basis along with other senior managers

Proven commercial and operational experience in events, entertainment, or proactive sales within a hospitality, leisure, or venue setting.
Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalise on revenue opportunities.

A confident networker who thrives on building lasting relationships.
