We’re looking for a Principal Gameplay Engineer to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a high-impact contribution, as an expert in your field, this role is perfect if you want to remain hands-on whilst supporting others and help shaping technical direction. This is a fixed term contract until November 2026 (we therefore cannot offer sponsorship for this vacancy) The main responsibilities will be: Act as a leading technical expert, providing deep engineering insight Deliver robust, maintainable, high-quality code across complex, interconnected gameplay and engine systems Tackle the unique technical challenges including bespoke frameworks and internal mesh networking. Guide architectural decisions involving Core Unreal Actor/Component systems and GAS driven workflows. Identify and solve complex technical risks, ensuring reliability, performance, and long-term stability. Drive improvements to performance, profiling, workflows, tools, and engineering practices across the project and studio. Collaborate closely with design, art, production, and technical leadership to ensure features meet creative and technical goals. Mentor and develop engineers across the craft, raising technical standards and supporting growth.
