Muller Milk & Ingredients Distribution is a leading company in the logistics sector, committed to excellence in fleet management and compliance. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced National Fleet and Compliance Manager to join our team and lead our fleet operations to new heights.
* Job Title: National Fleet and Compliance Manager
* Location: Field Based
* Team: 5-10 direct reports / >100 indirect reports
National Fleet and Compliance Manager Key Responsibilities:
* Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of workshop management, ensuring high-quality service, safety, and performance. Implement continuous improvement processes and stay updated with best practices and technological advancements.
* Compliance: Develop and manage the logistics compliance business plan, ensuring adherence to all transport legislation and company policies. Lead compliance audits and manage relationships with government transport authorities and industry bodies.
* Leadership: Manage and develop a team of Compliance Managers and Regional Garage Managers. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with group standards.
* Operational Efficiency: Manage depot maintenance budgets, oversee vehicle maintenance, and ensure cost-effective operations. Implement preventative maintenance policies and manage third-party supplier relationships.
National Fleet and Compliance Manager Requirements:
* Education: While a specific degree is not required, relevant qualifications in logistics, transport management, or a related field would be advantageous.
* Experience: Significant experience in fleet management and transport compliance, with a proven track record in leading and developing teams.
* Skills: Strong commercial and financial acumen, extensive knowledge of vehicle and transport compliance regulations, and excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage colleagues to deliver outstanding results.
* Technical Abilities: Expertise in managing compliance with EU vehicle and drivers' hours regulations, experience with the road transport Working Time Regulations, and the ability to manage compliance audits and develop corrective action plans
* Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and excellent organizational and time management skills
