The Opportunity
Join a leading engineering consultancy supporting a major nuclear project as part of an established multi?disciplinary design team. You’ll take on key mechanical design responsibilities for innovative mechanical handling solutions within a fast?paced and high?profile programme.

Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Designer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Handling Engineer, Tooling Designer, Mechanical Draughtsperson, CAD Engineer, Plant Engineer, Project Design Engineer, or Layout Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
• Producing accurate mechanical designs, drawings, and supporting information suitable for engineering analysis and project delivery.
• Managing and maintaining controlled design documentation, ensuring all technical outputs remain current and traceable.
• Coordinating design changes and configuration updates across engineering deliverables.
• Working closely with designers, engineers and other disciplines to ensure solutions meet relevant regulations and project requirements.
• Providing regular progress updates and engaging in design reviews to support constructability, compliance, and project development.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
• A recognised qualification such as an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong understanding of plant operations and experience working within an active engineering environment.
• Familiarity with document and data systems such as CIMAGE or other controlled document management platforms.
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem?solving and collaboration across technical teams.
• Eligibility for Security Clearance and sole British nationality due to project requirements.
