Overview
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will shape opportunities before they reach the market, convert them into secured contracts, and then stay close to delivery through to completion and client aftercare. You'll work closely with our Operations Manager, who leads nationwide delivery and our employed workforce, and our Commercial Manager, who heads the commercial support team, to ensure alignment across programme, cost, risk and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Shape & secure work: Lead early engagement from FEED/ECI, optimise solutions and resources, and support compelling, compliant proposals that convert.
* Govern delivery: Support mobilisation and delivery oversight alongside the Operations Manager; track time, quality, cost and risk to protect margin and programme.
* Champion HSSEQ: Drive leading standards in health, safety, wellbeing, environment and quality across the portfolio.
* Build strong relationships; ensure issues are resolved quickly, and aftercare exceeds expectations.
* Lead & influence: Coordinate multi-discipline teams (engineering, geotechnics, delivery, commercial) and align partners and suppliers.
* Think long term: Identify improvement opportunities, embed smarter ways of working and sustain a high performance culture.
* An innovative, outcome-focused mindset with the ability to optimise resources for both short-term wins and long-term sustainability.
* Strong technical competence with a solid appreciation of geotechnics and trenchless delivery.
* People centred leadership with excellent presentation and stakeholder skills.
* A track record of accountable decision making across safety, environment, time, quality, cost (profit), client satisfaction and team development.
