About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Welder & Shop Technician to join our growing Manufacturing team. This role is based out of our manufacturing plant in York, PA and reports to the Operations leadership. Candidates for this role must be self-starters and willing to work overtime (long days and/or weekends) as necessary. Previous electrical, crane fabrication, and maintenance/mechanical experience is a plus. Previous industrial fabrication experience is required, the ideal candidate for this role is a certified structural welder.

* Hourly Rate: $27–$37/hr
* Guaranteed 40 Hours/Week + Overtime After 8 Hours/Day

???? Schedule & Travel
* Typical Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM Monday - Friday
(With early starts, off-shift work, and overtime as needed)
* Travel: Up to 20% as needed
(Most deployments are 2 nights or fewer)
???? What You'll Do
* Weld in all positions.
* Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting as required.
* Welding and fabrication of parts using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding) cutting metal to size and shaping metal components
* Operating welding equipment, cutting torches, grinders, plasma cutters and other hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
* Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
* Inspecting welds for defects, ensuring welds meet quality standards, and making necessary repairs.
* Maintaining and repairing welding equipment, keeping the work area clean and organized, and potentially assisting with equipment maintenance.
* Moving materials and components, potentially using forklifts or other equipment.
* Regularly lift, move, or hold items weighing 80lbs. or more.
* Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment during assembly.
* Work well individually and with other team members, supervisors, and engineers to complete projects efficiently.
* Communicate with the Project Coordination and Production Scheduling to address scheduling concerns and equipment needs.
* Log time, consumables, materials, and equipment for orders in the ERP system.
* Perform advanced welding task as assigned.
* Manage your aggressive project deadlines while providing quality products and services.
* Work in environments that can sometimes be confined, noisy or involve exposure to various weather conditions.
* Following safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.
Your Experience & Skills
* Minimum 2 years of Mig and Stick welding experience required.
* Possess a current welder certification from an accredited school or organization like American Welding Society (AWS)
* Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, blueprint reading and safety procedures.
* Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform welding tasks.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and clients.
* Experience in construction or manufacturing industries.
* Certified crane operator training (a plus).
* Electrical and control experience (a plus).
* Certified rigger (a plus).
* Hydraulic troubleshooting experience (a plus).
* OSHA 10 Hour training (a plus).
* OSHA 30 Hour training (a plus).
