Mechanical Engineer

£14.00 per hour
Our client, based in Nottingham, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual with a background in gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps to contribute to a dynamic and supportive environment.
Mechanical Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Carry out repairs and maintenance on gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps
* Ensure all work is completed within set deadlines to meet customer expectations
* Support the wider team by performing related tasks as required
* Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and procedures
* Accurately complete workshop documentation and submit it to the Workshop Manager
* Maintain up-to-date daily timesheets
* Keep the workspace clean, organised, and hazard-free
* Be available for on-call shifts or overtime when requested by the Workshop Manager
* Undertake any other duties within your skill set as assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or Manager
Mechanical Engineer Ideal Candidate:
* Hands-on experience working with gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps
* Basic computer literacy
* Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and appropriate PPE use
* Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
* Clear and effective communicator
* Flexible and willing to work outside standard hours when needed
* Punctual, reliable, and committed to high standards of work
