We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker with our brand new young client in Redruth. Meet the Client: I am a 11 year old boy. I had a stroke at birth and because of this I have Global Developmental Delay and right sided hemiplegia - this means my right side is weaker than my left. I have a Gastrostomy insitu and I have all my feeds and medication through this. Due to my stroke I have a tendency to hurt myself, I wear a splint to stop me from doing this but I need constant support. I am looking for someone to come and look after me who likes to read stories and sing songs as I really enjoy this, then my mum and dad can do their day to day tasks and have a rest. Full training, shadow shifts and ongoing support will be provided to ensure we are all enjoying our time together! When you'll be working: We have evenings and weekends available Weekday Evenings ( 4.15pm-8.15pm ) Weekends - Saturdays and Sundays available ( 1pm-8pm ) What you'll be doing: This role is to support our brand new young client with complex health needs in his family home, during the evenings / weekends. Our clients needs include learning disabilities, PEG, epilepsy and he is non-verbal.
