Job Title: Control Systems Engineer (Remote)
Location: Peterborough, England (Remote with UK Travel)
Salary: £52,000 - £58,000 per annum (inclusive of shift pay, dependent on experience)
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to support power generation assets across the UK. Responsibilities include monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. Extensive UK travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop expertise in control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIs, and networks.
* Identify failures and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain documentation of performance, issues, and repairs.
* Analyze logs to improve equipment reliability.
* Support troubleshooting efforts with technicians and engineering teams.
* Provide on-site technical support and communicate issues.
* Design and modify control systems, including programming and panel layouts.
* Ensure safety compliance and stay updated on control system technologies.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Strong knowledge of control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA/DCS, and networks.
* Experience in designing control layouts, panels, and wiring schematics.
* Proficiency in PLC programming (GE, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Woodward).
* Experience with HMI development and industrial communication protocols.
* Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
* Understanding of natural gas and air flow systems.
* Familiarity with CMMS systems.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Valid UK driving license.

* Standard hours: Monday–Friday, with overtime opportunities.
