Brazing Operative required for our client based near Eye, Suffolk. The Brazing Operative will be working in the Fabrication Shop of an engineering manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity to become a certified Brazer through our clients in-house training and certification programme and to contribute to the production of high-quality metal components.
If you are not an experienced Brazer but have worked within a similar environment this could still be the role for you as our client will train.
Key Duties:
• Train to become a certified Brazer through the internal programme
• Assemble and braze various metal and stainless-steel components using jigs and technical drawings
• Train on how to build and test control products to high quality standards
• Operate safely within the Oxygen/Acetylene brazing bay
• Perform in-process inspections and ensure products meet exact specifications
• Contribute to a culture of ‘right first time, on time’ production
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised workspace (5S participation is essential)
Ideal Candidate will have: -
• A reliable team player with a good level of physical fitness – standing and manual handling required
• Able to follow detailed instructions, drawings, and process sheets
• Good attention to detail and time management
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and a variety of machinery
• Safety-conscious with a proactive attitude
Working Hours and Benefits: -
• Full training and certification as a Skilled Brazer
• Hours 7.30am – 4.15 Monday to Thursday, 7.30am – 1.30pm Friday
• 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
