Technical Author – Engineering Projects (Nuclear Site)

We’re hiring a Technical Author with a solid engineering background to join a key UK nuclear site project. Based full-time at Dungeness (4-day week), you’ll be at the centre of a long-term decommissioning programme, creating critical technical content that directly shapes project delivery and safety compliance.
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience in mechanical or industrial plant environments who can work alongside engineers, designers and SMEs to produce formal procedures, reports and CDM health & safety files. Your documentation will guide construction and deconstruction activity, not just record it.
Key responsibilities:
* Producing engineering procedures, reports and CDM-compliant health & safety files
* Reviewing and shaping technical input from engineers, contractors and risk assessments
* Supporting modification proposals, safety case inputs and technical file integrity
Requirements:
* Engineering experience in nuclear or high-hazard environments
* Confidence in producing or managing formal documentation
* Working knowledge of CDM, MS Office, Adobe and ideally 3D CAD
* A recognised qualification (HNC or equivalent)
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship)
